What’s the Food, NYC? (Mexican, Tapas & More)
What’s good, NYC? It’s a new week and we have new foods for you. First up, we have Rosie’s, a Mexican restaurant located right on the corner of 2nd Street and 2nd Avenue in Manhattan. Photos by: Wanda Flores.
Rosie’s offers a modern take on Mexican with a casual and fun decor. Now, the reason why we’re here are for the food and drinks. The margaritas are freakin’ delicious and their tacos are full of flavor. Choose from flavors like The Classic, Hibiscus, Blood Orange and Spicy for jalapeño margarita lovers. While the Wagyu Steak Taco isn’t always on the menu when it is, you should definitely order it. Along with great food and drinks, Rosie’s is a great happy hour spot. During happy hour they only serve the Classic or the Spicy margarita but tacos are $2.50, the margaritas are $7 and the happy hour entrees are reduced.

Now we travel over to Vapiano, an Italian eatery that has locations globally. The only New York location is right in Union Square featuring quite the easy dining experience: a dining card, food stations, paper menus and your food is prepared right in front of you. Vapiano’s also has a full bar for your enjoyment. If you’re on the move feel free to charge your phone while dining with the PowerMat app and the cords they provide.

Yuca’s got the tapas!! I love this place. The Sangria is tasty and you get a big glass of it, who can complain about that? The tapas are delightful, the Platano Relleno hits the spot with the perfect blend of sweet from the plantain and salty from the pork. The skewers are a carnivore’s dream!
