What’s The Move Kids: Water Activities For the Entire Family
If you didn’t get them into camp, it’s definitely too late. But don’t fret, we’re going to help out as much as we can with providing a diverse selection of activities, programs, places and events for your young people. This week our focus is on staying cool while having outdoor fun!
The weather has been unbearable lately and if that’s any indication on what the rest of the summer is going to be like, you’re going to need activities that keep you and the kids cool. This month Asphalt Green is having their annual sprinkler day on July 21. Just bring the kids to their athletic field and be ready to get wet. Kids will also be given free flavored icee treats to help keep cool.
City of Water Day
Bring out the entire family for a day of waterfront activities. The City of Water Day festival is a celebration of being in the water and boating. The day includes boat tours, rowing, kayaking, paddle boarding and of course, the annual cardboard kayak race where you’ll use nothing but cardboard boxes and tape to create a boat you’ll use in a race. Best part is, everything is free!
Alley Pond Adventure Rope Course
Each and every Sunday the Alley Pond Adventure Rope Course is open to the public for free rope course activities for kids 8 and up. Participate in the low and high ropes course, zip line, rock climbing, balance platforms and the trust fall station. Session one begins at 9:30am and session two begins at 1pm. Entry is first come first serve.
