Citi Summer in the Square
What’s great about Citi Summer in the Square is the diversity of free activities they offer to kids of all ages. This is especially perfect for those parents who have more than one child of different age groups. Indulge in some family friendly activities ranging from face painting, yoga story time, bubble garden, soccer games and even kids fitness classes. Beginning on July 12, each and every Thursday read up on a list of events taking place and the time and you and the family are all set!
A Summer Movie Under the Stars
Kids of all ages usually love movies. And parents love free movies even more. As the sun sets and the weather drops down to that perfect breezy summer night, grab the family, some really good snacks, blankets and enjoy free outdoor family friendly movies at Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Click here for a full summer lineup. Brooklyn Bridge Park as well as Bryant Park also have their summer movie lineups.
Kids Dance with Dancing Classrooms Teachers
There are few things more fun than watching your kids dance or learn how to. Get them out of their element and expose them to the basics of merengue, tango, salsa and swing. Taught by experienced Dancing Classroom instructors, not only is this completely free but they’ll have the chance to show you what they’ve learned on the dance floor to the rhythmic music that accompanies these styles of dance. Recommended for ages 6-10.
