What’s The Move Food: Ice Cream, Cookies and Tacos!
Mikey Likes It
What’s the move, New York City? The season is half way done but you still have plenty of time to indulge in summer season snacks like ice cream! Mikey Likes It is a Hip-Hop themed ice cream shop. They offer well thought out fun flavors of the soft dairy treat we all love. One of their most popular flavors is Southern Hospitality which consists of butter pecan and praline. Their Mac Daddy is another popular treat which is a half waffle with any flavor of ice cream AND you can get a regular flavored waffle or a red velvet waffle. I know, right?! It’s awesome! They have a new snack called the 8 Track, which is their take on an ice cream sandwich. Mikey Likes It currently has three locations including a new pop up shop on the Coney Island boardwalk!
Four Five Coffee Shop
This is a city full of busy bodies. Especially around the Times Square and Midtown area. A lot of people are working, coming and going. These are early risers and early risers need their Java Joe. Four Five Coffee Shop has some delicious coffee and treats. They have a cookie called the Churro and the Cookie Monster (pictured above) and it’s delicious. Another good cookie is Grandma’s Apple Pie, yum! Four Five has ground coffee for those that like to make theirs at home but people really like the coffee here so if you’re ever in the area, I would check this coffee shop out.

Otto’s Tacos is such a gem in this city. This Mexican based chain has some tasty and cheap tacos. The tacos are authentic Mexican style (cilantro, onions and radishes) as opposed to American style tacos (lettuce, tomato and cheddar). They also have those yummy Mexican cokes with the natural cane sugar in the retro bottle. It’s the little things sometimes. Click here to find a location near you.
