Black History Pop Up Shop
Bring the whole squad or just bring bae but bring someone. Heyyy New Friends is calling all Black vendors and creators to this pop up shop with product for sale! Admission is only $2 so there’s really no excuse as to why you can’t pop out. Half of the proceeds are going towards the Aids Walk and DJ Twon will be providing the tunes.
The city is filled with spoken word and poetry events. Some of these events are more prolific while some are a little more under the radar. Lyrikal Baptizm at the Black Lady Theatre goes down every first and last Thursday of the month fusing spoken word, poetry, music, and more!
We love extended happy hours especially after a trying Monday! Blend Astoria’s all night happy hour goes until 11pm on Mondays. Regular happy hours are from 4-7pm. Great vibes, decor, music, and drinks like frozen margaritas and piña coladas for just $6 easily makes Blend a clutch happy hour spot.
