#NotYourAverageWeekend: African Diasporan Art in Brooklyn
The Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA) uses art to take the conversation of “social and political issues facing the African Diaspora” to new heights. MoCADA isn’t just discussing the history, the museum is transcending what it means to be aware, accountable, and inquisitive through visual arts. Stop in to view the “Give Me Body!: Femme Re-Divined” exhibit inspired by Queen Latifa or the “BLACK: Brilliance & Resilience” exhibit created by local students to express what being black in America looks like through their eyes.
Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for seniors and students with valid student id. Guided tours are available.
